Text Box: In a world where art programs are diminished to mediocre craft classes that simply busy children’s hands but not their minds, I felt the true power of art, Ingenuity, was not being taught.   Our children deserve to be inspired, enlightened, and challenged in ways that only a quality fine arts program can.  This is why I created the Art Based Classes curricula, a program specifically designed to stimulate creative thinking, Ingenuity, using fine art materials, and high art techniques.

Text Box: From Silk Suits to Socks…One day, Kim Moody, at age 45, after years of doing the corporate tango in my beautiful silk suits, on airplanes 3 days a week, I decided I wanted my world to be within a 5 mile radius of my home.   Actually, I ended up completing a big circle that started in Mrs. Roscoe’s basement ceramic studio when I was about 9 years old.   In 1999, my daughter Jade and I found a wonderful ceramic painting studio, “A Gift of Art”, which become my almost daily relief haven when in town and a place to talk and be with my teenage daughter.  I became fascinated with the studio business and did a lot of background pleasure thinking about the business possibility.  In 2002, I was in a position to change my world.   I opened “All The Hands” on Jade’s birthday, March 31st,  for luck,  disposed of my SUV, geared up my bicycle,  and tangoed my way to work in my great variety of new exotic socks.    Now, July 2007, I have graduated to a motorcycle to go beyond 5 miles but, I still ride my bicycle to the studio daily.
I have wanted to be an artist since I can remember but really didn’t know it.  The older I got the more I realized I secretly wanted to do this.  In assessment of my life experiences the path kept trying to go there but, the way never felt clear until All The Hands.    I have been doing art all my life…just different mediums.   I learned it didn’t matter…it is all art and we have those forms that really ring our bell.   Clay does that for me in all forms, but sculpting is the best.
